What Two Cents is

Two Cents is a free-to-play prediction game. We ask one emotionally compelling topic every day. You call it YES or NO before the clock runs out, lock in a coin stake, and build a streak that only survives if you keep getting it right. Points only — no money involved for the time being. 

• One topic a day. A new topic goes live each day and closes at a fixed time.
• Make your call. Sign in and choose YES or NO. Lock in a coin stake to commit your prediction.
• Wait for resolution. When the topic settles, correct predictors earn a payout and wrong ones lose their stake. Voided topics refund everyone.
• Build your streak. Correct predictions in a row grow your streak. Miss one, and it resets.

Every player starts with a small coin balance and earns one free coin each day. If your balance dips below the floor, a free Top Up refills it so you're never stuck. Coins drive stake-weighted payouts — the more you stake on a correct call, the bigger your share of the pool.

Coins have no cash value and can't be purchased, sold, transferred, or redeemed for anything real. They exist purely to simulate the feel of a prediction market — nothing more.

• No deposits, no wagers, or cash prizes — for now.
• No purchasing, transferring, or cashing out coins.
• No KYC, payment instruments, or real-money anything — for now.
• No multiple simultaneous live topics — one a day, that's it.

While a topic is live, you can see how the crowd is leaning: a 100-dot grid, a vote split, and live vote counts. Pick a visualization — dots, bar, or trend — and watch the lean shift in real time. Percentages are driven by individual votes (one person, one vote); coins drive the payout pools shown separately for transparency.

• Edit history: when a topic's wording, context, source, or timing changes, the change is logged and viewable by everyone.
• Settlement logs: resolution outcomes and payouts are recorded and auditable.
• Notifications: you're notified in-app when a topic you answered settles.

We use soft friction to keep the game honest. Confirming your email is required before you can stake coins. Coarse device and network signals help flag suspected duplicate accounts for admin review only — we never automatically punish, and the policy is one account per person.
