Terms of Service

The short version

Two Cents is a free-to-play prediction game. You predict YES/NO outcomes and earn points only. There are no deposits, no wagers, and no cash prizes at this time. One account per person. Don't cheat.

1. The service

Two Cents is provided free of charge. We may change, pause, or end features at any time, including daily topics, the coin system, leaderboards, and notifications.

2. Coins have no cash value

Coins are a virtual, points-only currency used to stake on predictions. Coins have no cash value and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or redeemed for anything of real-world value. Daily credits, top-ups, and payouts exist only to simulate a fuller experience and generate behavioral data. There is no cash-out, no prize pool, and no real-money anything.

3. Your account

  • You must confirm your email before staking coins.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to gain an advantage is not allowed.
  • We may apply soft signals and admin review to discourage multiple-account abuse. Flagged accounts may be excluded from leaderboards pending review.

4. Predictions and settlement

  • Predictions are final once submitted and cannot be changed.
  • Settlement follows pari-mutuel rules: correct predictors share the pool in proportion to their stake.
  • Voided or canceled topics refund staked coins in full.
  • Outcomes are resolved from the stated resolution source for each topic; admin overrides are recorded in the public change history.

5. No gambling

Two Cents is not gambling. There is no money at risk, no stake of value, and no prize to win. Outcomes resolve in points that carry no real-world value.

6. Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to manipulate votes, outcomes, or settlements.
  • Don't create bots or automated accounts.
  • Don't misuse the integrity or admin systems.

7. Topics and editing

Topics are editorially curated. Draft topics can be edited before they go live; live topics can only have their context blurb updated, and all changes are recorded in the public change history shown alongside each market.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Because there is no money involved, your sole remedy for any issue is to stop using the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
